There are many movies to look forward to this year, including Megan 2.0, Jurassic World Rebirth, and Mission Impossible-The Final Reckoning. These movies are all part of a series, which makes them more exciting to look forward to.
Megan 2.0
This horror film is a sequel to the first Megan movie, written by Akela Copper and directed by Gerard Johnstone. It will be the second installment of the Megan franchise and will be released on June 27, 2025. The plot follows Megan, (Amie Donald) a robotic doll specifically programmed to “be a child’s greatest companion and a parent’s greatest ally.” Spoiler alert: it doesn’t end well.
Jurassic World: Rebirth
The Jurassic World series has been a fan favorite since the 1990s, so it is no surprise that this new movie is being heavily anticipated. It is said to be in theaters by July 2. The seventh movie in the franchise, this action film follows an expedition to extract DNA from three different deadly prehistoric animals in hopes of a medical breakthrough. Will it be successful? You’ll have to watch and find out.
Mission: Impossible- The Final Reckoning
This is the eighth movie in the Mission Impossible series. The first of the franchise came out in 1996, and the series is still going strong. In it, Ethan Hunt (Tom Cruise) and his allies take on one of the most impossible missions ever. The movie has already received a lot of recognition, and it will be released on May 23. Although it is rumored that there will be more movies after it, nobody knows for sure.
Many are waiting for these flicks, and some are not waiting for them at all, but if I have any say in it, I recommend you watch the trailers before you buy your tickets.
