Early outs have ended at UHS. Should they be brought back? Well, some say yes, and others say no, but are there any actual arguments? There are. For example, early outs are better than late starts because they give students more time to finish homework or study. Another argument is that teachers get more time to plan their lessons. However, the other side has reasons too. Having the normal dismissal time daily gives students a sense of routine and makes everything more consistent. Several students at UHS want early outs back, others don’t, but what about the teachers? There are many reasons teachers would favor early outs, for example, being able to plan more lessons and catch up with grading. Early outs would benefit both students and teachers at UHS, making our school more productive and less hectic.
