The downfall of the chiefs

Super Bowl 59, a new beginning for the likes of football. The Philadelphia Eagles won 40 to 22 against the Kansas City Chiefs. It was a monument for football as the Chiefs have won the Super Bowl four times, 2 of those times in a row, so their confidence was pretty high. There has been much uproar about the Chiefs in a negative way, from their quarterback complaining all the time during games to the panning over to Taylor Swift more times than people can count. This year was all about the Chiefs in a way that didn’t get more people to like them; it might have done the opposite. The Super Bowl shocked both Eagles and Chiefs fans. Not many people were expecting something like that to happen, with the Chiefs losing so badly. It was a wild scene to watch as many people wanted the Chiefs to lose, but watching it happen was a big turn of events. Many people said they just watched the Superbowl for the halftime show and the commercials rather than watching a football game like that. The commercials this year, some might say weren’t as good as in past years. What was good was the halftime show starring Kendrick Lamar performing his popular songs like Not Like Us and All the Stars featuring SZA and guest appearances like Samuel L. Jackson, a famous actor, and world-renowned tennis player Serena Williams. All around, the halftime show was the staple of the Superbowl and got more people’s attention. This year’s Superbowl brought back hope to people who like football that there might be a chance the Chiefs don’t constantly keep winning. The main question is, will we see the downfall of the Chiefs because of the Superbowl, or will they rise up again like it never happened?
