The Urbandale J-Hawk Marching Band is comprised of all members of the band department. Under the direction of Mr. David Breese, Mr. Tommy Doggett, Ms. Morgan Eadie, and Ms. Mackenzie Flatt the students performed their show “Bringer of Joy” throughout the fall. Bringer of Joy is taken from Gustav Holst’s Jupiter piece. This season’s drum majors were senior Regan Anderson and junior Henry Dix.

The group performed at five home football games, the Homecoming Parade, the 4th of July Parade, pep assemblies, and five marching band competitions. Along with daily, early morning rehearsals, the group attends a week-long 4th of July parade camp for two hours a day, and a two week long, all-day marching camp to learn the sets for the halftime/ competition show. The band takes the opportunity every show to live up to their motto “Performing to Inspire”.
